Schmuck 2012 – Una paperella e una giraffina / A little duck and a little giraffe

Due animaletti così buffi e inconsapevoli di esserlo possono essere i due incontri più simpatici di una giornata di Schmuck qui a Monaco.

La paperella – la più simpatica – è a zampe all’aria e l’ho trovata da Marie-Louise Kristensen, artista di Copenhagen (pare che là questi pennuti siano un simbolo della città) che ha fatto delle zampe palmate il suo segno di riconoscimento. Dà ai suoi anelli il potere e la licenza di scendere dal dito e andarsene in giro con andatura goffa. La papera più simpatica è infatti andata, la curiosona, a guardare che cosa si può trovare di buono in un cestino dei rifiuti della città. The little duck with its very distinctive palmate feet sitting up in the air is especially sweet. It is displayed by Marie-Louise Kristensen’s, a Danish artist from Copenhagen, (ducks seem to be one of the symbols of that city). She gives her rings the power, the license, to slip from the fingers and to move awkwardly about. The nicest duck is also the most curious, and has wandered around town trying to find something good in the waste bins in city streets.
Il contesto è una mostra particolarmente riuscita per affiatamento e personalità di quatto artiste, 2 tedesche e 2 danesi, e si chiama Bavarian feat. DK. Interessanti le proposte dell’altra artista danese, Annette Dam, che sa giocare in maniera estremamente sottile con il concetto del segreto del nascosto, da conservare gelosamente o da non poter mostrare. Cassettini inattesi, colori che fanno riferimento al burqua, per esempio. The context is an especially successful exhibit due to the team spirit and personality of the four artists, two German and two Danish, and it is named Bavaria Feat.DK. The pieces exhibited by the other Danish artist, Annette Dam are interesting. She plays very subtly with the idea of secrets and hidden elements that are to be kept selfishly, and are certainly not to be shared. Unexpected tiny drawers, colors reminiscent of the burqa.

Deliziose le scatoline colorate di latta della tedesca Anna Eichlinger, un tempo contenevano sigari o tabacco, ma sorridono alla loro nuova vita che le rende meno pericolose e più divertenti. Mi è piaciuta soprattutto quella con gli “sportellini” che nasconde due brillanti. The tin boxes made by Anna Eichlinger from Germany, once contained cigars or tobacco, but they smile now in their new life being less dangerous and more entertaining. The one I loved most was the one with two tiny doors hiding two precious and glimmering stones.
