Ciò che è appeso a un filo può sembrare precario a volte. A volte leggero. Più leggiadro addirittura come si diceva una volta parlando delle principesse. Non avere una base d’appoggio e come sfondo l’aria ti rende comunque più vulnerabile.
Objects which hang from string may sometimes appear precarious. Sometimes weak. But they can also appear with the same grace and beauty and elegance that we once used to describe princesses. Not having a base on which to rest itself and having only air as a background makes it seem even more vulnerable.

Una scelta coraggiosa per una mostra tutta basata su questo concetto, Suspended, organizzata dallo Studio Gabi Green. 19 artisti e collane volanti (non vi dico per fotografarle!). L’effetto finale? Non sembra male, ma giudicate voi. Suspended, was organized by Studio Gabi Green and was a courageous choice for an exhibit based on this concept. Nineteen artists and flying necklaces (not at all easy to photograph!) The final result? Not bad at all, but you can judge for yourself.

Volano nello spazio in maniera più tetra, avvolti da un mantello nero a metà strada tra Il nome della rosa e Darth Sidious i personaggi che Ruud Peters ha scelto per presentare il suo lavoro Corpus – accenni di testa, di braccia, di profilo di un Cristo sulla croce – alla galleria Spektrum (in questo caso il nome è sembra fatto apposta per l’occasione). They fly in space wrapped in black cloaking, appearing quite grim, somewhere between the Name of the Rose and Darth Sidious. These are characters that Ruud Peters has chosen to represent his work Corpus – displaying only hints of a head or arm and even a Christ on the cross in silhouette – at the gallery Spektrum. In this case Specktrum is a fitting name for the occasion.

In galleria si celebrano anche i 30 anni di attività. E vai con le opere dei tanti artisti rappresentati, ma anche vai con una serie divertente di foto tratte dall’album di famiglia di ciascun artista che tappezzano le vetrine della galleria. Se vi ricordate la sigla d’inizio della serie Attenti a quei due… The gallery is also celebrating an anniversary, their thirtieth year of activity. There are works of many artists represented here, and also an many entertaining photos taken from the family album of each of the artists that cover the glass cases of the gallery. Do you remember the opening of the serial “The Persuaders”?
