Schmuck 2013 – Display

united kingdom It is not at all easy to organize an exhibition, and especially a jewelry exhibition. There are few original and effective ways to do this.  Here are images of some displays that are a bit different from the usual box or glass case or drawer. The one I liked most is My Kingdom by Tanel Veenre, from Estonia. His world of magical and mysterious masks and majestic collars appear illuminated in secluded niches.

united kingdom The exhibit, All Aboard!, by the three artists, Despo Sophocleous, Nicole Beck, and Mirei Takeuci is scenographic even if very simple, with a light pool illuminating the different pieces, producing a theatrical effect.

united kingdom The work of Katharina Baur, Sabine Roth and Jasmin Hesse, called, a2+b2=c, is exhibited in the open air on wooden tables hammered to the ground in an internal courtyard of a garden-café.

united kingdom In an attic-studio typical of artists, (complete with beams and a dilapidated milieu, a bohémien space) the exhibition, Plateaus Jewelry, presents the work of four young people, Barbora Dzuráková, Patricia Correira Domingues, Edu Tarin, and Katharina Dettar. Dettar’s work is interesting, a trompe l’oeil of materials; for example, the necklace I am posting here is made in agate and wood, but is treated in such a way that it looks like stone.

united kingdom One last observation; the pans used as display cases that I saw in the fair stands is a nice idea.

There are men’s bracelets with the Greek Key design, other
etched and complexly cut designs such as skulls, scorpions, even the
Christian cross to name a few. Today, jewelry is made from popular variety and
is available in all kinds and designs. People have
risked their lives to journey to our country.
